Montecatini Terme is well connected by train to Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Viareggio, La Spezia (the start of the cinque Terre) and Rome. Montecatini Terme has two train stations, Montecatini Terme – Monsummano and Montecatini Centro. Here is some helpful information regarding each train station.
Montecatini Terme – Monsummano (Main Train Station)
The larger of the two Montecatini Terme train stations is known as Montecatini Terme – Monsummano (Monsummano is the name of a nearby town). This train station is located on the East of Montecatini Terme and is around a 10 minute walk along Corso Giacomo Matteotti to the centre.
Inside the train station you will find a cafe and a shop selling snacks and magazines. Train tickets can be purchased from self-service ticket machines or at the train information desk.

Montecatini Centro (Central Train Station)
Montecatini Centro is a smaller train station and is situated close to the centre of the town, just a 2 minute walk to Piazza del Popolo. If you are staying in or visiting the centre of Montecatini Terme then this is the train station you should use.
Inside the station you will find self-service ticket machines and an area to sit while you wait for your train.
